COUPLES  THERAPY

“People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges.”

Joseph F. Newton Men

Couple Therapy

Couple therapy is focused on helping all types of couples (i.e., married, living together or apart, non-married, same sex, non-traditional) recognize and resolve stressors and conflicts you are experiencing.  A main benefit is to revive happiness, satisfaction, and intimacy in your relationship.  During this journey, you learn more about yourself, your partner, and the interpersonal dynamics of your relationship. Couple therapy deals with the present stressors in the relationship but may also include the relevant history which may have contributed to the development of unhealthy interactions.  Some hesitations to enter couple therapy may include a fear of being judged, misunderstood, and attacked.  Another misconception is that the clinician may take side with one or the other.  Together in a safe space, we will explore your conflicts, emotional pain, interaction difficulties and transform the relationship to rebuilding and strengthening communication and intimacy.
