INDIVIDUAL  THERAPY

“The Secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”

Socrates

Individual Therapy

In individual sessions, the focus is on you and oftentimes it is easier to speak to an objective and non-judgmental professional than with close family members and friends.  During the first session, we get to know each other.  I will ask you some questions about, but not limited to, your presenting difficulties, family background, support system, health issues and treatment goals.  I will be there to support you and help you gain a sense of hope.  As you progressively feel safer, you would be ready to self-explore, identify boundaries, and enhance communication skills.
Together, we can work through your struggles, explore your thoughts, feelings, habits, and experiences you have had to get a better understanding about yourself.  You will also gain adaptive coping strategies to make desired life changes.
